Use Adsense on Youtube: Let Your YouTube Channel Earn For You

If you have a Youtube channel, you can earn from it. And for that, you must know how to use AdSense on YouTube. Here I am going to tell you everything you need to know about using AdSense to make money from your YouTube Channel.

If you are a newbie who is clueless about AdSense, here is your chance to be a master at it.

Understanding AdSense

When you are watching videos on YouTube, you must have often come across messages like, ‘the video will be played after the ad,’ and then you patiently wait for the add to finish so that you can go back to watching the video. AdSense places these ads on the videos, and it is the part of the Google and its pay program.

When the visitors click on the Ad, the publisher of that video gets paid. Easy, right? So, are you ready to link your YouTube account to the Adsense account?

Eligibility

There are criteria that make you eligible for the AdSense program. Your channel should have 4000 watch hours in the last 12 months and 1,000 subscribers. It is only then you can become a part of the YouTube Partner Program run by AdSense.

How To Get AdSense For YouTube

Your YouTube channel might get approved or disapproved, depending on the review. If your account is approved, it’s time to earn.

Finding Your Money in AdSense

You won’t see your earnings first thing in your AdSense account. You will need to navigate to do that.

On the top of your AdSense account, you will see the Performance  Report, click on it. Then, select Days in the drop-down menu on the next page. Change it to Products. Scroll down through the Products menu and find the Hosted AdSense for Content and AdSense for Content options. Choose Hosted AdSense For Content.

Here, you will find how much you have earned after the deduction of YouTube commission which is 45%.

How Are Earning Determined?

CPMs and RPMs determine your earnings. CPM or the cost per mille is what an advertiser is paying for 1000 impressions and RPM is the revenue per 1000 impressions.

And no, impressions are not views, they are the clicks on the ads. And for the skippable advertisements, it is when a viewer views the whole ads instead of skipping it. The calculation depends on various factors like the type of ad, current ad trends, and where it is running.

How Do You Get Paid?

AdSense can pay you in five different ways. And the time it takes your money to reach you depends on the method of payment.

Western Union Quick Cash- You can pick your payment at any branch of Western Union the same day.

EFTs- You get paid after the 21st of each month, and it takes approximately seven business days to reach you.

Checks- You will have to wait for upto two to four weeks for your payment to arrive. The checks are sent over mail and sometimes can take time.

You can also get your payments via Wire Transfers. It takes 15 days for the payment to be cleared. Rapida is also another option that you can opt for. It takes approximately 15 days as well.
